Tims birthday

Today is my Tim's birthday. He is 21. I was doing really good today until I read Sarah's blog. She put on a video and things she remembered about Tim. Joe watched it and then had to go watch the news. I soooooo miss my Tim. I miss the way he calls me Momma. I miss his sweet smile. I miss the bump left on his head from his accident on Thanksgiving that almost took him from me. I knew he would be okay when he had the accident, I knew he had not fulfilled his purpose here. How can one have that many broken bones, be thrown that far and live? How can a mushy head be healed? I am thankful his father holds the priesthood and could give him a blessing on the spot. I know my Heavenly Father has a great purpose for him. Tim absolutely loves his mission. He testified of that in his last letter:

Ok, here it goes. I will start off my letter with a scripture from 2 Nephi 33 : 1-3. This is for dad mainly because when I don't write well enough he always says something.

1 And now I, Nephi, cannot write all the things which were taught among my people; neither am I amighty in writing, like unto speaking; for when a man speaketh by the power of the Holy Ghost the power of the Holy Ghost carrieth it unto the hearts of the children of men.

2 But behold, there are many that harden their hearts against the Holy Spirit, that it hath no place in them; wherefore, they cast many things away which are written and esteem them as things of naught.

3 But I, Nephi, have written what I have written, and I esteem it as of great aworth, and especially unto my people. For I pray continually for them by day, and mine eyes water my pillow by night, because of them; and I cry unto my God in faith, and I know that he will hear my cry.

So if my letters aren't up to par this is how I feel, 100 percent. This scripture is from an amazing prophet of the Lord, from Nephi. The whole chapter is amazing. What I have learned from Nephi is love. You need to have love for everyone. When you love, the spirit will be with you and miracles will happen. Without love you cannot do anything good in your life. If Jesus didn't have love he wouldn't be our savior because he wouldn't have cared if we returned or not. But Nephi is a great example of love. He loves his seed. He loves his brothers. He loves everyone and everything.

We taught a lesson yesterday to a lady named Sandra. We marked her baptism for the 21st of Junho 2 lessons ago. But this lesson we had with her yesterday, was probably the best lesson I have ever given. I have never heard the spirit so strong the Lord was with us. I know it and can't deny it. We went in there planning to talk about the 2nd lesson but I felt it needed to change. And we need to teach how to pray again. And what you need to do to receive an answer. It was incredible. She understood everything and she knew what she was doing wrong. She knows the church is true. She will pray again and she will probably be baptized before her date. I have the most love for her, she is amazing.

I tell people in lessons all the time I can't give all of my heart to my future wife because a little piece will stay with them. I love my investigators. I love the Lord. I love this work. I love you guys, every single person that reads this letter, I love you. I even love tjs aka jdubs, even though they are so screwed up in their doctrine. I actually had a battle the other day with some tjs. I have their bible in my house so I can research. I am doing a lot of studying and I can prove to the tjs in their own bible, Jehova is Jesus Christ our Savior. In their bible it says it, not in ours in theirs, but I always bear my testimony to them and show the love I have for my church, my God and my Savior. I love you all. Have a great week. And if you have any question if I love it, I do my mission President asked me in my interview, actually I am happy always and he said to me not a question a statement, he said, YOU LOVE IT DON'T YOUUU AND I SAID TO HIM EVERYDAY. And like Paul says to the Philipians in Philipians 4 : 11

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

It helps me always and is very true. Love you

Love ,Elder Wyson

Isn't he amazing. Oh, what we can learn from our children! He has always been very loving and unjudgemental. He doesn't care who you are or where you are from. He loves everyone. I am thankful for him as I am all my children, but it is his birthday. I am proud to say he is my son, I always have been. I love him and miss him very much. I hope he knows I am thinking of him and how much I miss him.

Sister Wyson, Thanks for the comment on our blog. We get a few every now and then but still hope people are following the happenings in Cape Verde. We have loved our mission here, although at times it has been a struggle. We probably won't get the opportunity to serve with your son, but want you to know all the missionaries are great and the new Mission President and wife are but wonderful. They will do an amazing job. Thanks again for the comment and hoep you continuetoenjoy the blog. Elder Waller

Amazing what the spirit of the Lord and a mission does for a young man. There is no better training ground for husband and father. Great to hear Tim is LOVING his mission.
