rambling

I can't believe that Tim will be home in 296 days. Wow how time flies. Maybe I will be done with Bobby's scrapbook by them. LOL. Christina and Sabrina were in a fashion show the other night. It was fantabulous. All the girls did such a fantastic job. They were all beautiful. Christina said that the above dress made her feel like a princess. She can just dream because I am not spending 420 on a prom dress and it isn't white for a wedding dress. lol Sabrina chose all short dresses. She doesn't wear heals very often but bought these. Probably for the etiquette dinner at school on Friday also. She needs to learn to dress like a girl more because she looks cute.

Scrapbooking

I just came back from St George where I have spent the weekend scrapbooking.  I have not scrapbooked since last year at this same event.  Kick me in the bum.  I got through 1 more year of Bobs book.  It is so boring baseball...baseball...baseball...  nothing new.  heehee  Boys books aren't as fun as girls.  I am going to have my kids over once a month to do scrapbooking so we will do it.  I think Jenna will love it.  She is very creative.  I just have to get her pictures to scrap.  

I WANT TO THANK SARAH AND SHAWNA (AND ANY OTHERS) FOR PUTTING THIS TOGETHER EVERY YEAR.  I DON'T KNOW ANYONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE A GREAT TIME.  EVEN WITH A OBNOXIOUS OLD LADY SITTING NEXT TO THEM.  ( I AM GOIND TO TURN THAT SOB MUSIC OFF RIGHT NOW).  SHE WAS FUNNY THEN.  I AM NOT COMPLAINING AND HOPE YOU DIDN'T THINK I DID AT ALL.  YOU WORK TO HARD TO GET COMPLAINTS.

I got 20 pages done.  I think they were pretty good too.  I would love to be all caught up.  I won the big prize.  I won a family portrait photo shoot.  They ask the manager for the Holiday Inn to be the judge for this contest.  The question was "Who has the most outrageous photo on thier cell phone or camera?"  I won.  I have a picture from Hawaii on it.  My boys, Joey, Chris and Bobby were posing standing by the jacuzzi with their new speedos on.  I called them all and thanked them.  Thanks again boys. LOL  Most of the women refused to look.  Now Sarah B .  I don't know if that was worse than the one you put on your blog of Tyler in that tight grey thing! HEEHEE

It was very fun to bad it can't last longer.

Florida

Iwent to Florida for a week with my sister-in-law and bro-in-law. We had a great time. The asked us a couple days before we decided to go. It was all last minute,but we do most of what we do at the last minute. We flew to Tampa and went to St John's and the dog races. The races were so much fun. The dogs are so fast. The dog named Obama hurt his leg a quarter of the way through and turned around and went back with his tail between his legs. Sounds like he has the right name. Then we went to the Everglades. It was awesome, one of my favorites. There were alligators beside the road everywhere. We road a air boat and went on a sorta tour of the everglades and saw the most beautiful birds and more alligators. We moved on to Key Largo and went scuba diving, it was beautiful, the fish were everywhere and so many different kinds. I left some of my breakfast in the ocean. I decided that when I resurface I need to purge my stomach for some reason, I have been told that some people do that. We went to Key West the most southern part of the US and wow only 90 miles from Cuba. Guess we should have swam there...NOT! We stayed at Cocoa Beach but I didn't find Jeannie in a bottle on the beach. I didn't even find the bottle. I guess I am showing my age. Kennedy Space center was awesome. There was a shuttle on the launch pad waiting patiently to lift off-weather permitting. It would have been great to see that. Then off to Busch Gardens and roller coaster rides for 8 hours. It is the only place I have been where you have a zoo and rides in the same place. We did lots more and had a wonderful time with great company. I will treasure this vacation. Thanks Liz for the invite.

After all the snow, we finally finished most of the lights on our home. We are going to put a star on top of the tree and that is probably all. I don't want to take away from our manger. It is the most important part of the whole light thing. Lynn our neighbor wanted to have a light fight but, I don't this is it. I love it. My husband and boys spent a lot of time on it and I thank them. I think we need to start earlier though. I saw a show on TV and these people take 3 months to get thier lights up. Unbelievable.

J & J Enterprises

This is our office and all of our employees as of December 19,2008. Not to bad. We haven't had to lay anyone off yet and hope to not have too. We have great people working for us. It is our extended family.
After much contemplation---we decided to have our office party at J & J this year. We bought 75 pounds of Carne Asada. We also bought a pig and roasted it. We got beans and rice and all the works to go with it. It was so delicious.

This is the pig that was cooked. My mechanic and friend Danny, built this contraption. The bottom is filled with charcoal and the lid is kept on at all times. It was so delicious. Some were grossed out because it was whole, feet, head, eyes, ears etc... but some people like to eat those kind of things. It was a great party and I have to thank all these guys for making J & J what it is.

Well, heck it does snow in Las Vegas. Wooohoooo I could not get my car up my driveway! It was so funny. Joe came home and 4 of us pushed it up. We haven't had time to put up our nativity or the rest of our lights. It kept raining and then it snowed. We had a snowball fight at the office today for about a half and hour. My hands were froze. I should not have been out in the cold because I have been pretty sick but I couldn't help it. I like it when it snows and I don't need to go anywhere but I have a lot to do and don't have a great car for the snow. Even the Escalade isn't that great.

This is my cute little grandaughter MIKAYLA. She just got done dancing at her recital. Of course she was the best one there and the cutest dancer. She is great.

tree

I was told by my daughter that I didn't talk about her and her husband and the amazing tree they brought me. Maybe that is because it was sitting in the driveway. We brought our tree in last night. We always put it in the dining room so out went the nook table and we moved the dining table in the kitchen. In came the tree. I have had my tree fall over for the 3 years in a row prior to last year (no tree last year we were in Hawaii). I swore if it fell over the last year it would go in the garbage. That is no reflection on the tree getter, it is the tree putter upper. Sarah didn't know if she would have room to get her OLD, old mom a tree. LOL. They brought me one anyway. It is beautiful. We decorated it today. It is georgeous. Joe said the bet yet. I bought tinsel and isicles. I usually don't buy that because it makes a mess but we did. So thank you Sarah and Preston for the tree. I am glad I don't have to take a whole Saturday and go get one. I can be getting your present instead. LOL

I just finished Tims packages. I really miss him and to think he is almost out one year wow.
