Long time since I have blogged. Facebook takes over. We are at the cabin. It is very nice up here. Can you say relaxing? On the way up I got some sad news. The teacher my girls had for dance had a brain anurism. (don't know if I spelled that right) They caught it and did surgery. I hope she is doing great and recovers fully. She is such a wonderful person. The recital is next week and she wants it to still go on. She is amazing. My prayers are with her. So far this year hasn't been very good for me. I have been trying to keep this up but it seems like I keep getting dragged back down. Satan keeps trying. I have so many blessings.

well
The boys went to New York to watch a couple of the Yankees games. Joe took them for their birthdays. It was nice and quiet here for a couple days. What did I do? I cleaned the carpets--woohoo! They did not like the filthy dirty subways. They were not impressed with New York in any way shape or form as far as they told me. I wasn't either and I wasn't there very long when I went. I didn't think I would sleep very well with Joe gone because usually I don't but surprisingly enough I slept pretty well. Setting the alarm every night probably helped.
I can't believe Tim will be home in 82 days. I hope his head wound doesn't get infected. Why does he always hit his head?

Can you believe this
THOMAS: ... Obama is 'we are above that now.' We're not just parochial, we're not just chauvinistic, we're not just provincial. We stand for something - I mean in a way Obama's standing above the country, above - above the world, he's sort of God. He's-
MATTHEWS: Yeah.
THOMAS: He's going to bring all different sides together.
Good grief! Isn't that something. Comparing Obama to God! How ludicrous is that? What kind of God fearing people have we become? I could not believe this and to think that people still worship this anti-Christ! Yes, I believe he is an anti-Christ, maybe not the anti-Christ but one. To think that someone would rather meet him than President Monsen is just beyond my comprehension. I can't even talk anymore. I am flabberghasted.

tims letter
I got this letter from Tim this morning. He is doing so well. He is on his 4th Island and said he will probably stay there til the end. Mindelo is on that Island and I have heard of that city. I love what missions to for our children and for others children.
I received a letter from a member that lives is Fogo and is now a mini missionary. Let me translate what he wrote to me word for word.
His name is Jony and he said "Elder Wyson, how is the mission going over there? Here everyone asks about you. They say "where is that funny elder?". It is with much pride that I am writing you to thank you for the help you gave me when you were here with Elder Cruzinho and Elder Nascimento. Principaly you gave me lots of strength and encouragment to prepare my mission papers, your advice strengthened my testimony. I remember when you told me that I was only being tested because my mission papers were taking a long time to finish. You are a really cool, relaxed and way loving with people. Now, I want to give you some advice. Don't worry about what people say about you. You are valiant for the cause of Christ. Your are a server chosen to teach his words. Then he left the scripture 3 Nephi 5:13."
And that is what he said. You guys can take it for how you want but I have my own way of taking it and that man has a special place in my heart. I don't always see my success as I have said before. No maybe I am not AP or ZL, but you know what they don't get to teach as much as I do. So maybe that is why I haven't be called to those positions because my mouth, my teachings ,and my attitude with people helps bring people to the gospel and to Jesus Christ better than the next. I really don't care about those positions. I know is that I love the Savior more than anyone in the world because through him I can love someone. This church is true. I love being a missionary. I am not saying I don't get trunky and think about home sometimes, but it passes and I keep working. That is life as a missionary I love this work and the other stuff can wait until later. I love you all

I love this one
Bringing America Together. The election is over. It is time to repair friendships with the other party. Governor Sarah Palin is doing her part to do just that. The rest of the world cannot understand how, after bitter election campaigns, American politicians can kiss and make-up.For instance, Gov. Palin has invited, to her great state of Alaska, the men who defeated her, Barack Obama and Joe Biden. She has set up a moose hunting trip for their enjoyment and hired three prominent experts in their field to assist them.Dick Cheney will lead them on the hunt, Ted Kennedy will drive them back to their cabins each evening, and Bill Clinton will entertain their wives and daughters. What a lady! That Sarah is such a sport and thinks and thinks of everything!

osama-obama
I haven't written for a while. I can't wait until Obama is out. How could someone still want to support him. He is making a mess of this country. He has not done one good thing. Good grief he can't even talk without his teleprompter. He makes fun of the handicap on the tonight show. What president of the United States goes on the tonight show?????!!!!!!!! He is at a ballgame drinking beer, what an example. His wife takes down the pictures of George Washington so she can have parties in that room. He is practicing bowling while the country is falling apart. He gives money to the AIG and what did they do with it? ha! While we are steaming over that he goes and prints billions of more dollars! He is an idiot!!!!!!! There will be no place in history for people to remember the good he has done because he hasn't done any!!!!!! Because of him companies have to cancel health insurance for their employees. I think they should have done stem cell research on him. Maybe they still can. He doesn't have a soul! He is going against everything in the constitution. He is an anti-American. He wants to ruin this country so he can be king. Enough my blood pressure is to high.

Scrapbooking
I just came back from St George where I have spent the weekend scrapbooking. I have not scrapbooked since last year at this same event. Kick me in the bum. I got through 1 more year of Bobs book. It is so boring baseball...baseball...baseball... nothing new. heehee Boys books aren't as fun as girls. I am going to have my kids over once a month to do scrapbooking so we will do it. I think Jenna will love it. She is very creative. I just have to get her pictures to scrap.

After all the snow, we finally finished most of the lights on our home. We are going to put a star on top of the tree and that is probably all. I don't want to take away from our manger. It is the most important part of the whole light thing. Lynn our neighbor wanted to have a light fight but, I don't this is it. I love it. My husband and boys spent a lot of time on it and I thank them. I think we need to start earlier though. I saw a show on TV and these people take 3 months to get thier lights up. Unbelievable.

J & J Enterprises
This is our office and all of our employees as of December 19,2008. Not to bad. We haven't had to lay anyone off yet and hope to not have too. We have great people working for us. It is our extended family.
After much contemplation---we decided to have our office party at J & J this year. We bought 75 pounds of Carne Asada. We also bought a pig and roasted it. We got beans and rice and all the works to go with it. It was so delicious.

Well, heck it does snow in Las Vegas. Wooohoooo I could not get my car up my driveway! It was so funny. Joe came home and 4 of us pushed it up. We haven't had time to put up our nativity or the rest of our lights. It kept raining and then it snowed. We had a snowball fight at the office today for about a half and hour. My hands were froze. I should not have been out in the cold because I have been pretty sick but I couldn't help it. I like it when it snows and I don't need to go anywhere but I have a lot to do and don't have a great car for the snow. Even the Escalade isn't that great.

typing.
Well, I haven't blogged since the election. I guess I have mourned enough for now. Since I last blogged I have had a change in the YW presidency. I will so very miss Cathy Flagg. Just when I get to serve with her she is released. She is a good friend of mine. We have had many sessions in her back yard. I am thankful for her friendship. Joe and I had our 30th anniversary. We had a great night. We ended up in the Presidential suite at GV Ranch for the price of a reg suite. It was great. Next time I build I am going to build his and hers bathrooms. I liked having my own side. Maybe I should build his and hers bedroom suites. LOL Now that there's funny no matter how you look at it. I have the most beautiful grandkids. We just went on a trip to Disneyland and we went to the LA Temple. What idiotic people were there. What good does it do to act like morons? Hey, some people voted for a moron that wants gay marriage. So maybe one day this country under his leadership will accept same sex marriages, which is against all of our beliefs. We happened to go to Disneyland the day after gothic day, it was interesting. We had a great time. We rode all the rides with the grandkids. It was so much fun. They had a blast and that is what it is all about. We came out of Pinocio and they handed us free fast passes to all the big rides in both parks. WOW it pays to be in the right place at the right time. We would get stroller passes too. We went to the parks 2 days. We went to Hollywood blvd. That is a scary place. It was neat to see the stars and names etc... The shops you have to walk by are embarassing. We got our hotel free! Thank you very much Danelle! Seems like everyone was there-the Brunsons, the Meadows etc... All in all it was a fantastic trip. My family is the best.
I cooked for Thanksgiving. My bro and wife and kid were here. Sarah and Joeys families went to the other side LOL . We had a few extras that had no where else to go. My nephew Devan and Rachel came over. I love them they are great. I wish they would come over more often.
I did my normal Sunday dinner and we had the missionaries over. I enjoy that stuff. I love having people to my home.

mourning
Today was a very sad day. It is like someone died. I forsee the death of our nation and wonderful country and the freedoms we enjoy! I wanted to fly my flag at half mast which I just might do from now on. I really didn't care who won as long as it was not Barrack HUSSEIN Obama. I will never respect him. He had a great acceptance speach but it was a total turn around of everything he had been saying the whole time. I don't know why people do not see through him. My family has worked for 25 difficult years building the business we have. We have had many times where our house payment was 3 months behind and I didn't have enough food to put on my table. We never asked for help, we did every job we could to get by and we did. The business has been successful for the last 5 years. I have approx. 150 employees. I will probably be laying them off soon and go back to a ma and pa business. I really do not want to pay taxes as high as he wants. I don't want to let employees go with no job. I do not think it is right for him to decide who does and who does not get money. Maybe I will sell everything and sit on my couch and he can make my house payment and give me a stimulus check every month. Everyone can own their own business. What does it take? Hard work, not couch sitting. Obama will ruin this country. The people are not united and will not be with him as President. I don't understand why people would elect him just on the moral issues. Don't those issues mean anything to the world? Don't people realize that we were told in the scriptures that when we take God out of our government he will not help us anymore? Obama is not a believer in God he went to a church (until people found out) that the preacher hates America and God. I know the church has been warning us and we now really need to get our acts together. He promises a change alright but not a good one. I could say more but I just get more depressed. Bush did not preform the last 4 years but I at least had a chance. Now there is no chance. I will never call BO president. He doesn't deserve the title.

Sarah Pallin
I did something really fun today. I didn't expect to do it. I stayed home yesterday so thought I would get so much done at the office today. Well, Joe and I went to the Sarah Pallin rally today. It was awesome, so American! All four of us wore our NOBAMA shirts. Everyone wanted to know where we got them. We were interviewed by the RJ and a paper in Denmark. She is such a great speaker--no teleprompter for her! What impressed me alot about her is when she was done speaking and turned around to shake hands her little girl tapped her and she took the time to bend down and see what the little girl wanted. AWESOME. She listens. How many times do we listen to our children or do we just say hold on I'll talk to you later. Very IMPRESSIVE. Who do you think we ran into on the way out. Unruly democrats voting for Obama trying to start a riot. Screaming, we couldn't understand what they were yelling. I don't know why either party needs to do that. It reminds me of the anti-mormons. So dumb! Lee Greenwood sang God Bless America. It was great! Americans for America how much better can it get? I called my kids and had them listen it was great. The older kids at Sabrinas school got to go what a treat for them.

Neighbors
I am so glad to have good neighbors!. On one side my neighbors are not LDS but they have embraced Joe and I and our family as their own. We ride Harleys together. Sometimes they do not understand our views like why I won't wear tank tops, or why I teach my children not to have sex and I don't give them birthcontrol just in case. I love them, they are wonderful people. I gave them a book one day called "What Mormons Believe" I haven't seen it or heard about it since. They are very caring, loving, wonderful people. They would do anything for us as we would do anything for them. They want us to buy land with them in Idaho. I said not thank you because I don't like the snow. On the other side we have a LDS family that we have know for many years. Our children have been friends since they were little. I have had many patio talks with these neighbors. We were in the last ward with them. They are also very caring, loving wonderful people. We would do anything for each other. I am very blessed and thought I would never have neighbors like this. I love them both. What a wonderful place to live. I think that is one reason I will not move across the street. lol. I had a wonderful neighbor in my first house and I still talk with her but it wasn't like this. I have beautiful friends ( yes I have friends, few but some) but it nice having someone next door. Thank you neighbors.
