Florida

Iwent to Florida for a week with my sister-in-law and bro-in-law. We had a great time. The asked us a couple days before we decided to go. It was all last minute, but we do most of what we do at the last minute. We flew to Tampa and went to St John's and the dog races. The races were so much fun. The dogs are so fast. The dog named Obama hurt his leg a quarter of the way through and turned around and went back with his tail between his legs. Sounds like he has the right name. Then we went to the Everglades. It was awesome, one of my favorites. There were alligators beside the road everywhere. We road a air boat and went on a sorta tour of the everglades and saw the most beautiful birds and more alligators. We moved on to Key Largo and went scuba diving, it was beautiful, the fish were everywhere and so many different kinds. I left some of my breakfast in the ocean. I decided that when I resurface I need to purge my stomach for some reason, I have been told that some people do that. We went to Key West the most southern part of the US and wow only 90 miles from Cuba. Guess we should have swam there...NOT! We stayed at Cocoa Beach but I didn't find Jeannie in a bottle on the beach. I didn't even find the bottle. I guess I am showing my age. Kennedy Space center was awesome. There was a shuttle on the launch pad waiting patiently to lift off-weather permitting. It would have been great to see that. Then off to Busch Gardens and roller coaster rides for 8 hours. It is the only place I have been where you have a zoo and rides in the same place. We did lots more and had a wonderful time with great company. I will treasure this vacation. Thanks Liz for the invite.
