After all the snow, we finally finished most of the lights on our home. We are going to put a star on top of the tree and that is probably all. I don't want to take away from our manger. It is the most important part of the whole light thing. Lynn our neighbor wanted to have a light fight but, I don't this is it. I love it. My husband and boys spent a lot of time on it and I thank them. I think we need to start earlier though. I saw a show on TV and these people take 3 months to get thier lights up. Unbelievable.

J & J Enterprises

This is our office and all of our employees as of December 19,2008. Not to bad. We haven't had to lay anyone off yet and hope to not have too. We have great people working for us. It is our extended family.
After much contemplation---we decided to have our office party at J & J this year. We bought 75 pounds of Carne Asada. We also bought a pig and roasted it. We got beans and rice and all the works to go with it. It was so delicious.

This is the pig that was cooked. My mechanic and friend Danny, built this contraption. The bottom is filled with charcoal and the lid is kept on at all times. It was so delicious. Some were grossed out because it was whole, feet, head, eyes, ears etc... but some people like to eat those kind of things. It was a great party and I have to thank all these guys for making J & J what it is.

Well, heck it does snow in Las Vegas. Wooohoooo I could not get my car up my driveway! It was so funny. Joe came home and 4 of us pushed it up. We haven't had time to put up our nativity or the rest of our lights. It kept raining and then it snowed. We had a snowball fight at the office today for about a half and hour. My hands were froze. I should not have been out in the cold because I have been pretty sick but I couldn't help it. I like it when it snows and I don't need to go anywhere but I have a lot to do and don't have a great car for the snow. Even the Escalade isn't that great.

This is my cute little grandaughter MIKAYLA. She just got done dancing at her recital. Of course she was the best one there and the cutest dancer. She is great.

tree

I was told by my daughter that I didn't talk about her and her husband and the amazing tree they brought me. Maybe that is because it was sitting in the driveway. We brought our tree in last night. We always put it in the dining room so out went the nook table and we moved the dining table in the kitchen. In came the tree. I have had my tree fall over for the 3 years in a row prior to last year (no tree last year we were in Hawaii). I swore if it fell over the last year it would go in the garbage. That is no reflection on the tree getter, it is the tree putter upper. Sarah didn't know if she would have room to get her OLD, old mom a tree. LOL. They brought me one anyway. It is beautiful. We decorated it today. It is georgeous. Joe said the bet yet. I bought tinsel and isicles. I usually don't buy that because it makes a mess but we did. So thank you Sarah and Preston for the tree. I am glad I don't have to take a whole Saturday and go get one. I can be getting your present instead. LOL

I just finished Tims packages. I really miss him and to think he is almost out one year wow.

typing.

Well, I haven't blogged since the election. I guess I have mourned enough for now. Since I last blogged I have had a change in the YW presidency. I will so very miss Cathy Flagg. Just when I get to serve with her she is released. She is a good friend of mine. We have had many sessions in her back yard. I am thankful for her friendship. Joe and I had our 30th anniversary. We had a great night. We ended up in the Presidential suite at GV Ranch for the price of a reg suite. It was great. Next time I build I am going to build his and hers bathrooms. I liked having my own side. Maybe I should build his and hers bedroom suites. LOL Now that there's funny no matter how you look at it. I have the most beautiful grandkids. We just went on a trip to Disneyland and we went to the LA Temple. What idiotic people were there. What good does it do to act like morons? Hey, some people voted for a moron that wants gay marriage. So maybe one day this country under his leadership will accept same sex marriages, which is against all of our beliefs. We happened to go to Disneyland the day after gothic day, it was interesting. We had a great time. We rode all the rides with the grandkids. It was so much fun. They had a blast and that is what it is all about. We came out of Pinocio and they handed us free fast passes to all the big rides in both parks. WOW it pays to be in the right place at the right time. We would get stroller passes too. We went to the parks 2 days. We went to Hollywood blvd. That is a scary place. It was neat to see the stars and names etc... The shops you have to walk by are embarassing. We got our hotel free! Thank you very much Danelle! Seems like everyone was there-the Brunsons, the Meadows etc... All in all it was a fantastic trip. My family is the best.

I cooked for Thanksgiving. My bro and wife and kid were here. Sarah and Joeys families went to the other side LOL . We had a few extras that had no where else to go. My nephew Devan and Rachel came over. I love them they are great. I wish they would come over more often.

I did my normal Sunday dinner and we had the missionaries over. I enjoy that stuff. I love having people to my home.

mourning

Today was a very sad day. It is like someone died. I forsee the death of our nation and wonderful country and the freedoms we enjoy! I wanted to fly my flag at half mast which I just might do from now on. I really didn't care who won as long as it was not Barrack HUSSEIN Obama. I will never respect him. He had a great acceptance speach but it was a total turn around of everything he had been saying the whole time. I don't know why people do not see through him. My family has worked for 25 difficult years building the business we have. We have had many times where our house payment was 3 months behind and I didn't have enough food to put on my table. We never asked for help, we did every job we could to get by and we did. The business has been successful for the last 5 years. I have approx. 150 employees. I will probably be laying them off soon and go back to a ma and pa business. I really do not want to pay taxes as high as he wants. I don't want to let employees go with no job. I do not think it is right for him to decide who does and who does not get money. Maybe I will sell everything and sit on my couch and he can make my house payment and give me a stimulus check every month. Everyone can own their own business. What does it take? Hard work, not couch sitting. Obama will ruin this country. The people are not united and will not be with him as President. I don't understand why people would elect him just on the moral issues. Don't those issues mean anything to the world? Don't people realize that we were told in the scriptures that when we take God out of our government he will not help us anymore? Obama is not a believer in God he went to a church (until people found out) that the preacher hates America and God. I know the church has been warning us and we now really need to get our acts together. He promises a change alright but not a good one. I could say more but I just get more depressed. Bush did not preform the last 4 years but I at least had a chance. Now there is no chance. I will never call BO president. He doesn't deserve the title.

Sarah Pallin

I did something really fun today. I didn't expect to do it. I stayed home yesterday so thought I would get so much done at the office today. Well, Joe and I went to the Sarah Pallin rally today. It was awesome, so American! All four of us wore our NOBAMA shirts. Everyone wanted to know where we got them. We were interviewed by the RJ and a paper in Denmark. She is such a great speaker--no teleprompter for her! What impressed me alot about her is when she was done speaking and turned around to shake hands her little girl tapped her and she took the time to bend down and see what the little girl wanted. AWESOME. She listens. How many times do we listen to our children or do we just say hold on I'll talk to you later. Very IMPRESSIVE. Who do you think we ran into on the way out. Unruly democrats voting for Obama trying to start a riot. Screaming, we couldn't understand what they were yelling. I don't know why either party needs to do that. It reminds me of the anti-mormons. So dumb! Lee Greenwood sang God Bless America. It was great! Americans for America how much better can it get? I called my kids and had them listen it was great. The older kids at Sabrinas school got to go what a treat for them.

Neighbors

I am so glad to have good neighbors!. On one side my neighbors are not LDS but they have embraced Joe and I and our family as their own. We ride Harleys together. Sometimes they do not understand our views like why I won't wear tank tops, or why I teach my children not to have sex and I don't give them birthcontrol just in case. I love them, they are wonderful people. I gave them a book one day called "What Mormons Believe" I haven't seen it or heard about it since. They are very caring, loving, wonderful people. They would do anything for us as we would do anything for them. They want us to buy land with them in Idaho. I said not thank you because I don't like the snow. On the other side we have a LDS family that we have know for many years. Our children have been friends since they were little. I have had many patio talks with these neighbors. We were in the last ward with them. They are also very caring, loving wonderful people. We would do anything for each other. I am very blessed and thought I would never have neighbors like this. I love them both. What a wonderful place to live. I think that is one reason I will not move across the street. lol. I had a wonderful neighbor in my first house and I still talk with her but it wasn't like this. I have beautiful friends ( yes I have friends, few but some) but it nice having someone next door. Thank you neighbors.

Thoughts

My girls go to a private school that teaches leadership, patriotism, and faith. The faith they teach is our LDS faith. To tell you the truth right now I would put them in a school that taught any of the Christian faith as long as it was not public school. My children are scared putting their kids in public school with what they teach. I do not want the schools teaching my children about sex--you can have it just use protection, homosexuality--it is okay to have two dads or moms, or patriotism or no religion. Just going to church on Sunday is not enough. Just going to seminary is not enough. We need to be teaching our children about our values and the Book of Mormon and its teachings. We need to be reading our scriptures and the church publications. We need to be prepared financially and mentally. We are in for hard times. I hope this economy comes back but we need to be prepared. We have been taught this for many years. OK I have lots of food storage but are we prepared spiritually? Are we having FHE weekly? Are we praying? Just some thoughts.

All I can say is AMEN!

How long is the beast allowed to have authority in Revelations? Revelations Chapter 13 tells us it is 42 months, and you know what that is. Almost a four-year term of a Presidency. All I can say is 'Lord, Have mercy on us!' According to The Book of Revelations the anti-Christ is:
The anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40's, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal...the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything..
Do we recognize this description??
From: Dr. John Tisdale
Dear Friends,
As I was listening to a news program last night, I watched in horror as Barack Obama made the statement with pride. .
'We are no longer a Christian nation; we are now a nation of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, . . .'
As with so many other statements I've heard him (and his wife) make, I never thought I'd see the day that I'd hear something like that from a presidential candidate in this nation. To think our forefathers fought and died for the right for our nation to be a Christian nation--and to have this man say with pride that we are no longer that. How far this nation has come from what our founding fathers intended it to be. I hope that each of you will do what I'm doing now--send your concerns, written simply and sincerely, to the Christians on your email list. With God's help, and He is still in control of this nation and all else, we can show this man and the world in November that we are, indeed, still a Christian nation! Please pray for our nation!

win a purse

You can go to this website and enter to win a purse: www.handbagplanet.com Go ther and win a purse or maybe I will win a purse. There are some nice purses there. They select one for you or you can select one of your own.

politics

Ya know I don't talk politics much, I leave that up to Joe. He talks enough for the two of us. This is the worst election I think I have known. I don't know how anyone could vote for someone as evil as Obama. I will never respect that person. He is soooo evil. Why don't people see that? That man is the biggest racist, black supremist, satanic, I could go on and on. Do people just have their eyes closed? Why won't he let people know about his first college days? How did he get into Harvard Law? Who were his pastors or church leaders? Wake up people!!!! Open your eyes. I am not saying McCain is great but there is a better of two evils here. At least his vice-president running mate has morals. Obama has no morals whatsoever. I just can't see him as president. Bush isn't the best either but if you look to see how this country got in this mess, go back and see when it started--when the congress was taken over by democrats. One of them Harry Reid has no respect for anything. He thinks he can answer his cell phone in the temple during a session. Good grief wake up country!!! Open your eyes. I am afraid, truly afraid as everyone should be. We need to pray for our country and our constitution! We need to elect men and women that believe in our forefathers and what they did for us! We NEED God in our country and every aspect of our lives. We need someone who will salute and respect what God has given us! I am getting sick so I have to end. I have grey hair now, not from my kids but from worrying about what is going to happen to us if Osama Obama gets in the white house.

FIREPROOF

We went to see FIREPROOF tonight. It is a good movie but it is one that I thought they would show at church or something. They have the book that goes with it at Sams club. It should really help a marriage. The book is like a workbook. It is a good see for couples but leave your kids at home unless they are married or getting married or old enough to get married. Great flick. Sounds Mormon but it isn't.

CCW

I had an interesting day yesterday. Joe, my neighbors, Chris and I went to a gun store and sat in a class all day. What was the class about? Well, it was a class you have to take to get your permit to carry a concealed weapon. Now, I am able to carry a gun on my person as long as it is concealed. The guy teaching the class was a little on the extreme side but I saw his point of view. We learned the laws and rights that we have and the rights of others. We also had to shoot the weapon(s) that we wanted to have the right to carry. We had to be able to hit the target in the right spot. It was fun. I have guns in my home. They all have locks on them or are locked up. My children are taught the proper use and handleing of guns. I believe it is my right to own them. They had a video that interviewed criminals and they asked if the right to bear arms should be taken away. Their response was no that would make it way to easy to rob and harm others. They also said that criminals would get guns no matter what. It was great to take the class even if I wasn't getting my CCW. I do have my own gun it is a P22 which is a 22 automatic pistol. Joey also went to the class but it was to renew his CCW.
After the class we went to Bass Pro Shops. That is a great store. Then we ate at the Silverton. We ate a wonderful meal at the steak house in there. It wasn't to expensive and the food was great. They have a hugh fish tank full of awesome fish. A mermaid even comes and swims in it, she is so cute with the kids that watch.
Friday night I got to see the Osmonds. We stayed for a meet and great. They are a great family. I saw them before the preformance in the casino as we were walking through. They put on a fantastic show. I really hate it when the groupies get up and go stand at the front of the stage and swing their bums. Most of them have larger bums than when they were teenagers (mine included). It makes it hard to see the show. I got my picture taken with the Osmonds. I remember when I was much younger they used to always come to the Tropicana chapel and my ward when they were in town. Oh such memories.

IT CONTINUES

It is quite (for lack of a better word) amusing that people think that the churches stand on abortion means it is pro choice. The choice is whether you will or will not have sex to get pregnant. In an article in the Oct. 2008 Ensign it states "When the controversies about abortion are debated, "individual right of choice" is invoked as though it were the one supreme virtue. Tat could only be true if but one person were involved. The rights of any one individual do not allow the rights of another individual to be abused. In or out of marriage abortion is not solely an individual matter. Terminating the life of a developing baby involves two individuals with separate bodies, brains and hearts. A woman's choice for her own body does not include the right to deprive her baby of life--and a lifetime of choices for that child." How simple is that? Incest and rape it says " this tragedy is compaunded because an inocent woman's freedom of choice was denied. In these circumstances, abortion is SOMETIMES considered advisable to preserve the physical and mental health of the mother. Abortions for these reasons are also RARE!!! No where in any doctrine of the church does it state anything about favoring pro choice !!!!

UNBELIEVABLE

I can not believe the people that are Mormons that believe women should have the right to choose. I don't care how anyone votes but to say an abortion is okay really appalls me! I could have been aborted. It is sickening to think someone could believe that. I am so upset! What kind of person could think that! Maybe they should also kill the old people that don't contribute to society! I am so upset I can't even think. Some of these people I have looked up to and regarded them as good members of the church! It is impossible to have a testimony of our church and believe in abortion (in certain circumstances). My friend at 24 birthed a downs symdrom child since then she has adopted 3 more. These are those children that some think should have been aborted! How dare you think that! I should have been aborted, how dare you! A child from rape aborted? Give it up for adoption. I know people who have had a child from rape (which you are not likely to conceive when raped) and by the time they birthed that child it was loved!

I don't care who a person votes for that is their opinion! I know who I am voting for, the better fo two evils out there. The one for this country not for Africa. The one whose wife doesn't blatenly hate white people. The one who has some experience not just a few days. No , if I had a choice I would vote for someone else but there is no one else. I am not pro war but I am pro USA.

Long

Wow it has been a long time since I blogged and a lot has happened. Tim is a District Leader. He said not to many new missionaries are there to train. They come out but don't stay long because they miss their Mommies. His words. He is doing great and a missionary that just returned from there said he was a favorite missionary. All the missionaries want to serve with him.
We had a family reunion at Lake Powell. Most of my kids were there. We also had a famiy reunion with Joes family. We had to rent a houseboat because ours wasn't working and we got a great deal. We rented a 70' one for the same price as a littler one. That was great as we needed the room. Joes mom came with us. His family was meeting on the beach Friday and Saturday. Joe decided that he would go on Saturday. We asked his mom what she wanted to do and she said that she would go on Saturday even though we offered to take her over on Friday. We went from Wed to Wed. It was a great time. I didn't want little kids running in and out of the houseboat and getting sand all over. I guess that started a big family problem. Silly!!!!! We had a great time. It was beautiful except at night with the bugs.
We went to the temple in St George the other day. Joes brother and his wife and 2 kids were sealed. My mother in law said her prodigal son went through the temple. He has had a hard life. It is Jenna and Sabrinas bio father. I had some issues with him and didn't know if I wanted to go. Then I told Joe maybe we should go and it would help mend some feeling with the family and we would just sit and blend in. Then when I got in the temple and saw him in the chapel, I had a very peaceful feeling come over me. I am not responsible for his problems. I am at peace with him. I have overcome my animosity towards him. No we will never be best friends. I am happy for him. He has a great wife. I don't know her well but she seems to be a very good person and good for him. I wish him the best. I have a hard time writting my feelings so I hope this came out the way I meant it. It was great seeing some of Joes family.
Then Wed. night my "sister" passed away. She was diagnosed with cancer about 3 weeks ago and it took her life. I can't believe she is gone. I mourn for her children and husband. She has 10 kids. Some are still in their teens. She said she would still help Scott with the children. I leave for Denver to her funeral next week. My neighbors are coming. They have met her a few times. We were at Sturgis together. I love her and will miss her.

My newest grandbaby

This is the newest Wyson. Isn't she cute. She was born two weeks early and grandma was there to help deliver her. In fact grandma stayed up all night. She has long hair compared to any of my babies. Her big sister Wrynn could have cared less about her. She just wanted to play. Grandpa waited downstairs. She was helped into this world by her Aunt Liz. She is the best midwife there is. I think her name is Kyra. I am not sure of the spelling. I don't know if anything is for sure yet except she is a girl and she is here, and she is beautiful. My other new beautiful grandbaby Katelyn looks so big now and she is only 3 months old. I hope they will be best friends. Cachay is a great mom. Joey is a awesome father. I love them all. My kids are the best. And my grandkids are the cutest.

4th of July

+ We had the usual 40 foot water slide. It is always so much fun. The only problem with it is people have so much fun especially the guys that they get a red scratched back. I don't know why it does that to them.

We also have lots of people swimming in the pool. Someone grabbed hold of the basketball hoop first thing and broke it. Oh well.

Then there is the watermelon eating contest according to age. I don't know who won this one. Looks like they are having fun.

We also have sand volleyball. We wet the sand down so it isn't so hot. There are horseshoes and the trampoline but the best part of the day is right before dark when Joe does his patriotic speach. It is a wonderful country we live in. Most of us know it but don't do a thing about helping this country. God gave us this wonderful land and we need to keep God in it. I am proud to be an American. I hope I can still say that after this election. Especially if Osama-obama who is loyal to Africa is elected. Who could ever think of voting for him. Really! I love America! Happy 4th

Lake Powell

a group of us cooling off in the water

Bobby. Need I say more? Nice jump

and he landed it too.

This was the houseboat we had to rent

because ours had problems.

Bobby learning to barefoot with his
cast on.

We went to Lake Powell when we came home from girls camp. It was beautiful. The water level was up. It is rising a foot a day they said. Last year it was dropping a foot a day. Our little beach in our cove was under water. It was kinda hard finding a beach. Joes family came out on Saturday. It was nice to see them all. There were 3 boats and our two jetskis. Plenty for everyone to do. This bar was on Joe's brother-in-laws boat. It was fun. Sarah and Preston came out with the kids for a couple days. We had Joe's mom with us. Joey and Cachay didn't come because she is to have the baby anyday as of the trip.

girls camp

I went to girls camp on the 17th of June through the 21st of June. It was so fun. I very much enjoyed myself. The girls in my ward were so wonderful. I don't think we had any problems at camp. It looked to me that everyone got along and were very friendly to each other. We drove to Cove Fort it was an awesome place to be. We went to the Fremont Indian park. We went river rafting, the Manti pageant, and we hiked to a beautiful fall. It was so great. We let the girls sleep til 8. It was a very relaxed camp. I had wonderful people help with all aspects of the camp. Our testimony meeting was very good on the last night. We got all of our certification done. I loved it.

Death by Harley

Well, we went to Williams, Arizona this weekend, with our neighbors, on the Harley. We left late Friday. Got there at 2am on Saturday. It was a long ride, it was kinda cold too. I needed my leathers but since I lost weight they just drown me. Well we got up on Saturday around 9 am. It really was a fun ride but would have been nicer during the day. We ate breakfast, Joe and I shared all you can eat pancakes, and an omelet. Well, when it came I didn't know the omelet would be made out of a dozen eggs with a whole block of cheese, peppers, ham etc... I didn't know that the pancake was as big as the plate. Needless to say we didn't have more. It also cost $50.00 for 4 people. 2 omelets, and 2 pancakes. Ridiculous! We rode to the Grand Canyon. We had never been there. It is beautiful. Then we rode home. It was dark the last stretch. We were rideing along just fine. I was in my seat in the back texting my kids to see what they were doing and make sure they were all home and tucked in their little beds and out of the corner of my eye a see something dart at us from the side of the road. We went thump thump. We stopped and checked out the bike and our pants. lol. The bike seemed to be okay except for the smoke coming from somewhere by the back tire and my seat. Joe figured it must have made a hole in a shock and the oil was dripping. So we got back on and went back to see what it was. Joe figured a bobcat or a coyote. We found it. DOA It is pretty big. We are very lucky that it didn't do more damage to the bike or us. It also could have caused damage to our friends who were riding to our left and back a little if it would have flipped to them. The Lord knew that we are the only ones that can raise the rest of the children so he preserved us to do just that. lol No I think that was a serious truthful statement. We got back on and went a couple of miles and almost got hit by a low flying owl. That might have stung a little. I am glad we missed that one. We really did have a good time though.

Tims birthday

Today is my Tim's birthday. He is 21. I was doing really good today until I read Sarah's blog. She put on a video and things she remembered about Tim. Joe watched it and then had to go watch the news. I soooooo miss my Tim. I miss the way he calls me Momma. I miss his sweet smile. I miss the bump left on his head from his accident on Thanksgiving that almost took him from me. I knew he would be okay when he had the accident, I knew he had not fulfilled his purpose here. How can one have that many broken bones, be thrown that far and live? How can a mushy head be healed? I am thankful his father holds the priesthood and could give him a blessing on the spot. I know my Heavenly Father has a great purpose for him. Tim absolutely loves his mission. He testified of that in his last letter:

Ok, here it goes. I will start off my letter with a scripture from 2 Nephi 33 : 1-3. This is for dad mainly because when I don't write well enough he always says something.

1 And now I, Nephi, cannot write all the things which were taught among my people; neither am I amighty in writing, like unto speaking; for when a man speaketh by the power of the Holy Ghost the power of the Holy Ghost carrieth it unto the hearts of the children of men.

2 But behold, there are many that harden their hearts against the Holy Spirit, that it hath no place in them; wherefore, they cast many things away which are written and esteem them as things of naught.

3 But I, Nephi, have written what I have written, and I esteem it as of great aworth, and especially unto my people. For I pray continually for them by day, and mine eyes water my pillow by night, because of them; and I cry unto my God in faith, and I know that he will hear my cry.

So if my letters aren't up to par this is how I feel, 100 percent. This scripture is from an amazing prophet of the Lord, from Nephi. The whole chapter is amazing. What I have learned from Nephi is love. You need to have love for everyone. When you love, the spirit will be with you and miracles will happen. Without love you cannot do anything good in your life. If Jesus didn't have love he wouldn't be our savior because he wouldn't have cared if we returned or not. But Nephi is a great example of love. He loves his seed. He loves his brothers. He loves everyone and everything.

We taught a lesson yesterday to a lady named Sandra. We marked her baptism for the 21st of Junho 2 lessons ago. But this lesson we had with her yesterday, was probably the best lesson I have ever given. I have never heard the spirit so strong the Lord was with us. I know it and can't deny it. We went in there planning to talk about the 2nd lesson but I felt it needed to change. And we need to teach how to pray again. And what you need to do to receive an answer. It was incredible. She understood everything and she knew what she was doing wrong. She knows the church is true. She will pray again and she will probably be baptized before her date. I have the most love for her, she is amazing.

I tell people in lessons all the time I can't give all of my heart to my future wife because a little piece will stay with them. I love my investigators. I love the Lord. I love this work. I love you guys, every single person that reads this letter, I love you. I even love tjs aka jdubs, even though they are so screwed up in their doctrine. I actually had a battle the other day with some tjs. I have their bible in my house so I can research. I am doing a lot of studying and I can prove to the tjs in their own bible, Jehova is Jesus Christ our Savior. In their bible it says it, not in ours in theirs, but I always bear my testimony to them and show the love I have for my church, my God and my Savior. I love you all. Have a great week. And if you have any question if I love it, I do my mission President asked me in my interview, actually I am happy always and he said to me not a question a statement, he said, YOU LOVE IT DON'T YOUUU AND I SAID TO HIM EVERYDAY. And like Paul says to the Philipians in Philipians 4 : 11

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

It helps me always and is very true. Love you

Love ,Elder Wyson

Isn't he amazing. Oh, what we can learn from our children! He has always been very loving and unjudgemental. He doesn't care who you are or where you are from. He loves everyone. I am thankful for him as I am all my children, but it is his birthday. I am proud to say he is my son, I always have been. I love him and miss him very much. I hope he knows I am thinking of him and how much I miss him.

recital

It got pretty hot here yesterday, but it wasn't to bad. I love the weather that you can open the doors and air out your house and sit on the patio and read a book. Oh ya you have to have time to sit on the patio and read a book. I love to read. We went to Mikaylas recital last night. She did such a great job. She is so cute. I remember when all my girls did that. It seemed to hectic at the time to get them ready, and there on time and save seats. The recital is much better in the place they have it now. So much more room and better seats. We took them to ice cream after. Trenton had colored ice cream. All different colors. He told grandpa all the colors as it ran down his chin. He wouldn't let anyone wipe it but himself. He is funny.

Jam

Well, our apricot tree decided to make ripe fruit this week so I have been making apricot freezer jam. I can't wait to eat it. I shopped all day with Sarah and Katelyn. We had a great time. My daughter is a wonderful mother. She must have had a great teacher. lol She has lots of patience with her children. She loves staying home with them. It is hard having 3 kids. To me it was the hardest because usually your oldest isn't old enough to help much. By your fourth kid you have one that is a big helper. My son is a wonderful father. I don't know of any other dad that gets up in the middle of the night with the baby. He does it every night. I hope his wife appreciates all the training I did. lol He helped Sarah and I make apricot jam today. I have wonderful loving kids. Our family loves to tease but everyone seems to be able to take it and it isn't the same person every time. They also know when to be spiritual. I really love have 9 kids and I love telling people I have 9 just to see their faces. I really love them all. I also love my 4 1/2 grandkids. They are the cutest. I totally love my family and wouldn't wish for anything more or less.

Ideas...

What do you do when your friends kid is mean to your kid. Pudding in the hair, sitting across from them at lunch and the kid says to your kid "Don't talk to me, I don't like you", your kid is carrying a heavy box and asks the other for help and the other says "no you have to suffer", the other kid tells another to call your kid a B----, when confronted says "oh I was kidding I told them not to after." What do I do? It seems to be getting worse and worse. When the mother finds out it doesn't seem to make a difference. I really like the mother and don't want to cause a problem but this has to stop. I think it will get worse if it doesn't. Give me lots of feedback. Thanks

Thankful

This is the town that time is in. It is so beautiful. ugh. He loves it, you can tell in his pictures how happy he is.
Nice apartment. I am so glad that I spent money on sending sheets with him. At least it looks like they mop the floor. He said he hasn't had a hot shower since he arrived. It gets pretty cold in the mornings with cold water running on you.
I am wonder why they say that Vegas is ugly and a desert. HMM maybe they should see these pictures. I don't see ANY green do you. Oh my bad I lied the building is green. I should have sent Tim with brown shoes. No wonder it said khaki pants.

That's my Tim. He is always around kids. For some reason they just love him. I got a package from him today. He sent birthday presents since we have so many in May. He also wrote today, so I got a double whamy. yahoo! He broke his toe playing soccer and sent a picture of it. Yep I don't think it would turn that color unless it was broke. He learned how to turn corn into flour using a big stick and a stone bowl. He is doing so well. I am so thankful I live in this ugly town and I don't have to sleep on a used mattress on the floor. He took a picture of a cockroach that was as big as a cue tip. How would you like to wake up to that at night.

On another note. My new grand baby is doing great. Sarah is finally getting adjusted a little. We took Mikayla and Trenton to the fair. They had a great time. I hate those dirty rides but the kids love them. They loved to see the animals, not like grandma (me) doesn't have a zoo here.

Baby has arrived!

The baby is finally here! Woohoo! Her name is Katelyn. She is 9 lbs. 15 oz. , 21" long. She arrived at 3:05a.m. on April 7, 2008. She is such a chubby one. She is a doll. Mother and daughter are doing great. Grandma is extatic. Big brother and Sister adore her. Mikayla loves to hold her. Dad is tired. She was about a week late. She has lots of hair for one of our babies. It is dark hair. What a sweetie and of course the first thing that grandma did is unwrap her. I love to see the whole thing. She gets to come home tomorrow. Sarah labored for 3 hours. These pictures are not great but I love them. They were taken with a cell phone.

Look how chubby and filled out that baby is. Look at her chunky legs and arms. Look at those chunky cheeks.

They just brought her back from pricking her foot. I guess her face is red from crying. Mean nurses.

Great day

We had a great day today. We got up (I felt much better today) went to church. The choir did the Easter presentation. We have a man that works with us sing in the choir. He has a wife that is not very nice. Anyway he was so excited to sing. Then somehow he always shows up here for dinner which we don't mind him joining in. We always have a big Sunday dinner. Not so big food wise but lots of people. We had my nephew and his lovely bride with us today as well as last week. All of my kids except Tim of course were here and my grandkids. We ate outside by the pool. It was wonderful. We did a little egg hunt for the grandkids. Mine don't believe any more. It was great. I love family and friends. I should have more people over but for some unknown reason I don't. Maybe I should start. HAPPY EASTER to all of you. I love you all.

Silly....

Well, now I have come down with the dreaded sinus infection. I have meds from Mexico here so I started myself on them since I never see a Dr. I don't have a dr. lol I don't remember the last time I saw one. Oh ya, I remember, it was when we had to get physicals to adopt the girls.
Tim or should I say Elder Wyson wrote today. It is the day after p-day but myldsmail is terrible and it shuts down and logs off frequently. You would think the church would have a better system for us to write. It brightens my day when he writes. He is doing so well. He loves the work he is doing. Another thing that brightens my day is my grandkids. I was shopping at Ross and I got a phone call. It was Mikayla. Grandma when are you coming home? We want to go to Macayos. I told her I was shopping for her but would be home shortly. So half of us went to Macayos and the other half went to Sushi. I can't wait til Wrynn calls me.
Sarah is due and ready to have this baby. Joe wants me to pack up and go to his cousins wedding in Washington DC. I told him no way. He tried to give me a guilt trip. He pouts. I said okay lets go (I wasn't very nice). He knew he didn't want me to go in that frame of mind. I said my daughter is due any day and I DO NOT want to go. Why do men have to have their own way? I am married 30 years this November and I still haven't figured that out. Oh, but, they think we always want our own way. They are so silly. LOL I do love him. He is the best husband anyone could have. He does LOTS for me.
Tim even e-mailed 3 pictures. I was so glad. All my BIL had to say about the pictures was nice shoes because they were dirty. Well, in Sal there is no green it is all dirt. So how do you keep your shoes clean? The minute you walk outside they are dirty again.
I am so glad I am over that baby making phase. I love having grandbabies. I don't know how women get pregnant with their first at 40. They ar crazy! I hope all goes well for Sarah. She better hurry or Sarah Barlow will beat her again. lol. Sarah B. you finally look pregnant. Good luck to you both.
LIFE IS GOOD! The church is true. I love missionaries. I hate missing them.

don't know what to call it

I get so excited when I read Tims letters. He is doing so well and loves his mission so much. He loves the people which I knew he would. He says that his mission president is the best. I don't know if I have ever heard him so upbeat. I just wish that one day I could get on at the same time that he is on so I could talk with him via the computer. I don't think that I have ever had a missionary write like he does. It is amazing.
I don't know what got into me? I just spent 2 hours cleaning my pantry. I swear if anyone goes in there and touches anything I am going to get them. People just throw stuff in there. No one can put stuff where it goes or for heavens sake take cans out of a box and put them in a row. There was stuff in there really outdated. I also can't believe that they were hiding a package of this or that here and there. Then they forgot about what they hid and it is hard as a rock. I also cleaned the medicine cupboard. It is bare now. ha hope no-one gets sick.
We bought a very expensive dishwasher in Nov. It doesn't work now. The panel is shorted and shocks you. The repair man came today 2 hours late. He said that whoever hooked it up wired it wrong. I say he is wrong. It would have shorted long before this. Does he know how many times it runs a week? Always once a day sometimes two. Now he has to order a part and he will be back on the 15th. I guess it is paper plates and cups from now on.
I am tired, my back hurts and I am going to bed to read. I love to read. SSooooo relaxing.

Love them all.

Well, it has been a while since I have blogged. Tim is amazing. He has such a wonderful spirit and testimony. It is wonderful how he has blossomed. He loves serving in Sal. The land is barren, no trees whatsoever, no green anything. He stayed in the town that he landed in. He has been there before. I miss him soooooo much. I am so proud of him or as the Lord said of his son, I am well pleased.
I got to take my granddaughter Wrynn shopping with me yesterday. Then I picked up Mikayla on the way because she said grandma always buys my Easter dress, when is she going to take me shopping? We had lots of fun looking for a pink and white stripped dress. She finally picked out another one. We got together with the moms and dads for lunch. It was a great time.
Sarah and Joey are great parents. They are teaching their children well. Grand kids are the best.
Christina made the swim team at Silverado. I guess there were a lot of kids that didn't make it. She is a freshman and is very excited about it.
Dianna had a male person over for family dinner with us tonight. He seemed very nice but he didn't talk much. Of course with our family who has time to get a word in. I have 9 wonderful children. I don't care what anyone else thinks of my kids I know they are awesome. I want them to know that I love them all!

He wrote

Well, we have had a bad month. I don't or can't talk about it right now. TIM WROTE from Cape Verde. He is in Sal. He is happy and loves the people which I knew he would. He said the island is Ugly. I was so glad to hear from him. He sounds really good and said he can even talk with the people most of the time. He loves his companion who is from Utah.

President Hinkley

http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/200/5127/

What a great tribute to our beloved leader. What a man he was. I am saddened yet happy that he has passed. Sad he is no longer here yet, happy he is with his beloved wife which is probably where he has wanted to be. We will all miss him.
